Requirements for International Students

For those whose first language is NOT English, IWU requires you take the TOEFL exam to be considered for the BSM distance learning degree program. The minimum TOEFL score is set at 550 (CBT=213 or Internet Score=79).

So that we can be sure international students have the appropriate college or university level education, another requirement is a "course by course" evaluation of your transcripts done by an organization such as Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE).

THIS EVALUATION IS REQUIRED FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE OBTAINED ANY OF THEIR COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY CREDIT DEGREES FROM INSTITUTIONS LOCATED IN COUNTRIES OTHER THAN THE UNITED STATES.

(Graduates of some universities and colleges in Canada are also exempt from this "evaluation" requirement.) You may learn more about ECE and what it does by visiting their website at http://www.ece.org.
